Supporting the Communities That Support Us
At Mrs. Michael Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC, giving back has never been something we do for attention. It is simply part of who we are.
As a family-owned business, we believe being part of a community means more than providing great service. It means showing up for people, building real relationships, and supporting the families, schools, organizations, and neighborhoods that make our community stronger.
A Business Built Around People
Mrs. Michael was built on family values from the very beginning.
We wanted it to feel personal.
Giving back is not a marketing strategy to us. It is part of our responsibility.
How We Give Back
- Supporting Livingston County Meals on Wheels for the past 3 years by helping feed seniors in the community on the last Friday of every month.
- Adopting local families during the holiday season through the Hartland Optimist Group’s annual Adopt-a-Family program for the past 3 holiday seasons.
- Sponsoring the Hartland Memorial Day Veterans Pancake Breakfast annually for several consecutive years to help honor local veterans and military families.
- Participating in multiple Touch-A-Truck events where children can interact with service vehicles, fire trucks, police cars, and equipment while learning more about the skilled trades.
- Supporting local youth through LESA Job Shadow Day, helping students gain exposure to careers in the trades and real-world work environments.
- Sponsoring local high school athletics through WHMI Friday Night Football and boys and girls basketball coverage.
- Participating in multiple local golf outings and community fundraising events throughout the year.
- Taking part in community traditions like the Hartland Memorial Day Parade and the Brighton 4th of July Parade.
- Supporting the Brighton Optimist Club’s annual fishing derby for local families and children.
- Assisting local Gleaners efforts to help support families and individuals facing food insecurity.
- Helping raise money for local veterans organizations, including Freedom River Flows.
Supporting Seniors Through Meals on Wheels
Every month, members of our team volunteer to help feed seniors throughout the community.
For many recipients, these visits provide more than just a meal. They offer connection, conversation, and reassurance that somebody cares.
Supporting Youth & Future Tradespeople
Through programs like LESA Job Shadow Day and family-focused community events like Touch-A-Truck, we love giving local students and children the opportunity to learn more about the skilled trades and service industries.
Honoring Veterans & Community Traditions
From sponsoring the Hartland Memorial Day Veterans Pancake Breakfast to participating in local parades and supporting veterans organizations like Freedom River Flows, we believe it is important to show appreciation for the people who serve and sacrifice for others.
Giving Back During the Holidays
Each year, we help support local families during Christmas by contributing gifts, essentials, and holiday support to those who may need a little extra help during the season.
More Than a Service Company
Community involvement is not something separate from our company culture.
- Show up for people
- Treat others with kindness and respect
- Build trust through consistency
- Care about the experience you create
- Leave things better than you found them
